Fiona Friedli is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Lausanne and a member of the Research Center on Political Action (CRAPUL). Her PhD research analyzes the family justice in Switzerland and more especially law-making by taking into account both organizational logics and domination in legal and judicial fields. Fiona’s dissertation proposes to understand the drafting of law at the macro level and to analyze judicial creativity at the micro level by observing how judges work in interaction with various actors. For her dissertation, she has carried out ethnographic research at Supreme and lower Courts and has analyzed official and groups of interests’ archives.
