Aldon Morris receives Lifetime Achievement Award and Distinguished Scholarly Publication Award from ASA History of Sociology Section

Good news from the ASA History of Sociology Section: Aldon Morris is the recipient of BOTH the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Distinguished Scholarly Publication Award (for The Scholar Denied: W.E.B. DuBois and the Birth of Modern Sociology). This is the first time that the section has awarded both prizes to the same individual, and recognition from the History of Sociology Section is especially appropriate given the transformative effect of Aldon’s book on our discipline’s understanding of its own origins and development. Congratulations, Aldon!
