Assistant Professor in Open Field with Preference for Latinx/Diaspora Studies

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY’s Department of Sociology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2023. We encourage applications from scholars working in all substantive fields but with a preference for scholars working in Latinx/racial diaspora. Scholars working in other areas of Departmental strength including urban, health, culture, law and society are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in Sociology or other appropriate discipline is required at the time of appointment. Applicants should submit a cover letter that includes a statement of research and teaching experience, a curriculum vitae, sample(s) of recent scholarship, and three letters of reference.
