Biography

Daniel Maman is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, and visiting scholar at the Department of Sociology at the Northwestern University. Areas of interest include economic sociology, comparative political economy, institutional change and networks analysis.

The focus of Maman's research is on the different aspects of the relationship between economy and society. He is the co-author with Zeev Rosenhek of The Israeli Central Bank: Political Economy, Global Logics and Local Actors (Routledge, 2011), and The Bank of Israel: Political Economy in the Neoliberal Era (The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute/ Hakibbutz Hameuchad Publishing House, 2009, in Hebrew). He is currently writing a book on the restructuring of the Israeli financial system from a comparative perspective.
