Ph.D. University of Chicago 1993. Areas of interest are globalization and the city, regional governance and the emergence of new regional institutions. She has done research on regional housing for the Fannie Mae Foundation and on the importance of infrastructure in Chicago’s development for the Brookings Institution and has published research on the region’s planning agencies. She is currently finishing research on the development and viability of the non-profit housing sector in Chicago’s suburbs. She is also finishing a book, Airport Wars, tracing the politics surrounding O’Hare International Airport expansion.
