Willie-LeBreton, Sarah, (PhD 1995) is currently the Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Chair of Program in Black Studies at Swarthmore College.

Forster, Brenda, (PhD 1977) is a Professor of Sociology at Elmhurst College. She had studied sociology as a major because it built on her holistic concerns in understanding and affecting people and organizations. She has published four books and many articles.

Fox, Geoffrey, (PhD 1975), taught sociology at various universities, wrote four nonfiction books related to the field of sociology, including Hispanic Nation (University of Arizona, 1997) on the evolving collective identity of "Latinos" in the U.S. These days, he is mainly interested in writing novels and stories to explore major social conflicts, such as his latest book, A gift for the Sultan ( Torre del Rayo Books (January 13, 2011) which is about the momentous crisis and narrow survival of Constantinople in 1402.
